SW MN | Super low priced hog futures took me out of raising hog back in the early 2,000s so I lived what he's talking about. I chose not to risk the family farm signing one of these contracts and building hog units so I'm was out of that business back then. Many of my good friends did some form of contract and seemed to turn out ok. A few attempted to remain independent but selling fats without a contract was very challenging.
I didn't realize anyone like RFK jr was paying attention. | |
