Been in this spot too. You make plans to be off that land at the end of the lease.
You play along and he keeps asking for more favors and contorted payment schemes. You don’t play along and it forces him to a sell situation. It doesn’t get sold to you because you are the guy that forced the sale situation by not playing along and it is a sold to someone else out of spite.
I had a friend go through this too. Bery luckily he was able to make the top dollar offer at sale time. A few months earlier, and my friend was not in proper financial position and would have lost out.
I would love to have these landlords that everyone talks about that only want a check. | |
