| The 4835 can be fitted with 4 different shanks and a variety of points as well. There's a pretty good illustration of difference between the various shanks as well as information on the amount of residue remaining after a pass through with the various shanks and points in the literature that I have attached. However, it's going to vary quite a bit depending on soil type and field conditions. I have also included a photo of a 4835 that I was with recently in Indiana where it was a rougher field finish due to the lack of moisture. It is also very important to get the coulters lined up in front of the shank, if they're off my much, it will leave a rough finish even with a 3/4 no-till shank.
Full disclosure, I work for Kuhn Krause.
