So when you normally pay first half of rent (March 1)? So you looking at appr 4 months? I’d pay him. He is your landlord. Make sure you mention that since your paying him in this year that the 1099 tax statement will be larger and that he may get hit with higher tax bill. If it become a more normal occurrence then this year then next time have a new lease ready for him to sign.
