| Remember that the iron dealer is going to charge you for the parts AND install labor. Many of the precision dealers of all brands not only don't charge for the full value of the install labor they don't charge near the shop rate an iron dealer does. They may even discount the hardware or mix new/used like some have suggested here. All of that is fine and well but you need to be happy with whatever you choose.
As someone who's worked on multiple side of this industry here's my unsolicited opinion.
Find a dealer(Iron or Aftermarket) that is close to you, which you can trust to not only give you a fair initial deal, but be there when you need service/help. No matter the great price if the dealer sucks your experience won't be what it should be. | |
