Yep, that was pretty clear from the way male & female SS joints tightened: using only pipe thread compound (a lot of the modern stuff does NOT have enough lube in it--a mash of watery stuff with some Kevlar fibers in it), way before the joint was tight enough it made a "ping" noise at every fraction of a turn, the way an over-tightened bolt sometimes sounds as you're trying to back it out of a hole. | |
