Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Next time it misbehaves and stays ON, I would be very careful and shut off the hand valve on the NH3 tank. Remember there would still be NH3 in the lines so be careful.
I would then disconnect all 3 wires to the ON/OFF valve. I would then test the various combinations of the regular Raven Master switch, your foot switch and the Section switch while watching your LED indicator. If the LED indicator does what it should then the problem is likely in the valve which is no longer connected at that time.
If on the other hand, the LED indicator still seems to stay ON at times when it should be OFF, then the problem is likely NOT the valve but somewhere ahead of the valve. Something as simple as a couple of bare wires touching at times could explain the inconsistency.
