Different things work for all of us, but we have essentially quit ripping except for test strips every year to remind us why we don't rip. We basically quit ripping over 10 years ago and have been doing test strips almost every year over the last 15. Not once in that period has ripping returned a positive roi for us. It has slightly increased yield a time or two, but usually there is essentially no difference. We have areas that I know we compacted during harvest and still can't show a positive roi.


In line ripper ? Ripping directly where seed trench will be?
