North Mississippi Delta / Alabama Gulf Coast | Apparently this is not an uncommon issue, just new to me. When the key in my Duramax stopped turning ignition, dealer service manager said a grand to replace steering column.
Seemed flaky, so did some digging and was able to buy a cylinder and keys for less than $50 and popped old out, new in. Different keys for door and switch but it worked.
Just hoping somebody could save me a bunch of time and headache for this issue.
