Don't know if particularly necessary, but I also start with the engine at low speed, feeder house engaged, then start the separator. Then ramp up to full speed. Seems like a lot less stress on the feeder house and Crary gearbox to start this way.
Seems like a good way to potentially force feed plug a separation system that isn't moving yet? Our older lexion won't let the feederhouse start without the separator engaged first. No issues on the gearbox. |
