South Central MN | Constant gearbox issues is a massive exaggeration. We've had crary air reels of some sort for well over 20 years now. Have never had a gearbox issue.
I'm not saying that aws is better or worse than crary, but this idea that all crary gearboxes have issues is way overblown, especially on their newer models.
Every harvest I shut off the air bar once or twice just to remind myself why we run one. Feeding instantly becomes much worse, beans all over the cutterbar. IMO, they should be standard gear on all auger heads, regardless of which brand you choose. | |
