A short story by Isaac Asimov, The Last Question, puts an interesting twist to the answer of entropy or the heat death of the universe https://users.ece.cmu.edu/~gamvrosi/thelastq.html It's a ten to fifteen minute read and the insights that Asimov has are fascinating considering it was written in 1956.
