Cliff SEIA - 10/30/2024 08:57 Does the yield monitor show a yield hit in those areas?

Bushels pay the bills and it costs big $'s to do deep tillage.

If the ripper pass doesn't create enough yield increase to more than pay for itself, dragging a ripper through the ground is foolish no matter how compacted you think the ground is.

So with that said, our ripper doesn't get used much.   Its a nice ripper, I enjoy doing tillage, I just don't enjoy it enough to burn the fuel and put the wear on the tractor when it rarely produces enough yield increase to pay for itself.
