I typically feed hay in rings until it just gets too muddy, then move to rolling the bales out. With the stalks, I’d just plan on feeding them in rings, and try to keep things as clean as I could.
I would be baling my own stalks so I’d try to only get husk and leaf material.
I’ve been looking around trying to find a cheap tub grinder to try, but they seem to be few and far between.
