| Hi all
I got my soil tests back but I am doing things different this year
I am doing a rye-vetch cover crop under my pumpkins but my soil report says that I require 75lbs of nitrogen p/a and 245lbs of phosphate p/a. In the messages it says to broadcast half and disc it in, so I am looking at aroun 532lbs of DAP I believe so I will spread 266lbs on the ground and disc it in, then it says to apply the remainder in bands 2 inches below seed and 2 to 3 inches to the side of row.
However I will be planting with a no-till transplanter water wheel this year and was wondering if I could just apply the remaining stuff with liquid fert in the water wheels tanks? So just purchase 266lbs of DAP then purchase the remaining dap in liquid form, if so how much? I would call my extension office where I got this information but I won't have access to my phone until tomorrow so I prefer to ask here first and get some kind of answer. | |
