The concept of an infinite universe brings up some interesting conundrums. The observable universe being finite, has only a finite amount of matter which can be arranged in different ways. So if the universe is infinite then there must be infinite volumes of similar sized space and infinite different outcomes for that space. In other words, everything that can physically occur happens, an infinite number of times. So if your are wishing for something, like winning the lottery, it's happening somewhere in the universe, and an infinite amount of times. headache anyone?
