Your dad has a stake in the game if you are spraying his crops....so, work out a deal to use his tractor. Facebook marketplace and/or Craigslist is full of good looking pull-type sprayers for 10k and under including rate controllers. You are unlikely to have any kind of catastrophic failure and expensive repair with a PT sprayer. Remember, you can buy something now and upgrade later.
