Western Ontario | I bought a brand new pull type 12 years ago, 90 foot boom, auto steer and rate controller. Run it on a 120 hp loader tractor that we’d have anyways. Spray 60-75 acres an hour depending on a few factors obviously. Looked down the other day and it said I’ve sprayed 35,000 acres with it, I’ve literally never had any problems with it. If you think you’re going to find a reliable self propelled (motor/hydrostat/wheel motors) that is going to pay for itself with less crop damage you’re more optimistic than I am. We hire y drop and tassel spraying done, getting close to be able to justify our own self propelled on that end. | |
