I've been doing covers for 5-6 yrs, and did experience a learning curve. With corn, for me, rye works if terminated by 5-8" tall. No bigger or it does tap into the N, and no, I have not seen it released and quickly as some have experienced. I tried 2x0 N on the planter this yr in a little bigger rye, and will go back to early termination and sidedress.. Rye has many positives that I want to keep, but for me, it is early termination in corn
