Big Sky Country | In the oil patch, casing you had hung and were drilling thru could come unscrewed. Welding could be a solution, but Baker had a product”Baker Loc”—-you smeared some bentonite on female threads, wire brushed it off, then smeared some baker loc on, screwed it togethor , and went in the hole.
Supposedly, you’d twist casing in half before it’d unscrew.
I’d put a 250 Cummins in 2 w.d. Tractor I had—dodging traffic went into ditch on ‘deadman’s corner’ and grenaded corner of oil pan—cast—-lotsa pieces—-cleaned them up, jigsawed back togethor with baker loc—-about 1980, still holding. You mix it, think qt we was about 40$ | |
