Subject: RE: Anyone grow crimson clover as a cover crop?

New Castle, PA
We used to no till it into wheat stubble immediately after we baled the straw , and we usually had to wait to mid May before planting corn due to not enough growth . We now frost seed red clover into wheat mid March and it is light years ahead of the crimson in late summer/fall growth and we can plant corn late April early May. If you do plant Crimson , get it killed before it goes to seed , otherwise you will have Crimson volunteering for the next 500 years
