I'll see if I can find any pics. It was really ugly. Seed Rep came out and took some samples. Corn had secondary roots literally rotting off and it wasn't from nitrogen burn. I fertigated N and S to try to revive the stuff.
ETA- I'm not positive if these pics were from that exact field, but the field looked similar to this.
I don't understand, because we're told corn can't have a bad day in it's life and every seed needs to come up within 48 hrs, etc. This field had none of that. Corn was probably twice as tall where there wasn't residue and rye cover.
