Stick to chisel plowing a VT isnt going to move it where the roots are going to be after a week of growing. Honestly over half the issues I see with yields are related to soil stratification. 0-3 looks like it was taken out of a manure pit and 3+ inches has no fertility... A chisel plow every other year even fixes that issue.
