Fertizer would be fine, the rye might be a waste if you have a mat of bean leaves on the ground. Spread many acres of rye, fertilizer mix and could count on a good stand in corn stalks, poor stand in bean stubble unless soil and residue are stirred around a little. Hope this helps.
