Years ago we had someone custom chop and round bale some corn stalks. I pulled my 336 Deere out and was going to bale a couple of loads of small squares. The custom baler was making windrows. He stopped on the end and told me I could do what I wanted, but when he worked at a dealership he had seen enough small square balers that were never quite "right" after baling corn stalks. They weren't designed to shove the needles through corn stalks and cobs, and potentially more dirt than hay or straw. I put the baler back in the shed and have never tried it.
Hmmmmmm - - - if you want to rake up large amounts of soil - - - you will have problems.
Makes we want to ask - - - why do you want to rake up soil - - - I would prefer to leave that in the field - - - you don't 'have to' rake up dirt - - - at least imo. |
