North Central Illinois | I agree with everything you say here EXCEPT if the current tractor is doing that work it is probably set with wide wheel spacing to straddle swaths on a round baler which means running down crop if on 30" rows. Sliding wheels in and out ain't something you do for fun multiple times per season, but I've done it in a pinch when I had my baler tractor break down and needed to use the cultivating tractor.
Buying a tractor and a pull type sprayer is still a better idea than a self propelled at that scale though. | |
