Three to start. Glad I don't need more than a handful. Big money big risk. Always challenging to get them to catch the second year.
If a $3000 heifer weans a 1500 calf and is open and worth 2000 I guess the risk is less now than many years. I realize there are many other expenses and death loss but I think bred heifers are being under valued at today’s prices. Looks like I need to sell my older cows and keep ai bred heifers. Likely sell the bull bred heifers. |
