Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Using a tester from the company would likely be an easy way to test the sensor.
I'm thinking that if mine fails, I would go into the diagnostics and observe the readings on the screen while someone moved the feelers around.
I guess I could remove the sense pin from the weatherpack connector and use a meter to test its voltage to ground while someone moved the feelers from full left to center to full right. The voltage should vary from near zero when the feelers are fully deflected one way to near 2.5V when they are centered to near 5V when fully deflected the other extreme.
