Between the ecu and the hydraulic oil tank is a connector that has no seals in it. It is part of the harness from the ecu to the injection pump. This connector is notorious for corroded pins. Does weird things when the pins have a poor connection.
I cannot remember the number of pins, but it’s a round connector.
