One of the pluses was supposed to be that this was natural nitrogen, right out of the air...so no worries about nitrates in tile water. But, the N fixed by lightning IS in the nitrate form, once it becomes dissolved in rainwater. Pick your plasma.

Another point: I don't know how "green" it is, since there is no mention of how much electricity it takes to produce a pound of N this way. Assume natural gas to produce the electricity, versus serving as the feed stock for ammonia, for example. It might fare very well. Or not. The lack of data is maddening.

It is an interesting technology and I applaud Precision for going after it. But could someone please start sharing some real facts and figures?
