Subject: 1997 John Deere 9500 throttle issue

North Carolina
Combine has the 3 way switch. Cranked up yesterday and started to the field moved to mid throttle and nothing. It did go into mid throttle after a 2-3 second hesitation and ran there for about 2 seconds and then returned to idle Will not go to mid or full throttle at all now when you activate the switch. Have traced wires for mice damage and found none. Cleaned the ground connections, cleaned harness connectors, swapped the auger switch with the 3 way throttle switch and it worked so I know it’s not the switch. I traced the wire (#143) for the switch from console to back of machine and it leads to the ECU. Are these prone to go bad? Machine has 3300 separator hours and 1500 hours on a reman engine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
