I found this on-line calorie counter. I plugged in: 45 year old male, 5'10" tall, 150 lbs. Sedentary activity level burns 2287 calories; Very active activity level burns 3292 calories. Then I adjusted to same male, 195 lbs (150 x 1.3). Sedentary activity level burns 2577 calories; very active activity level burns 3738 calories. My math calculation says the 195 lbs male burns 12% more calories at the sedentary activity level, and 13% more calories at the very active activity level. This is for a person who weighs 30% more. |
