I can only comment on the calorie, energy and weight question regarding humans. Physics is not my thing.
A lot of calories that are consumed are for basal metabolic functions- keeping our body warm, running our internal organs, etc. Those would be similar, although the bigger person may require slightly more, but not proportionally . As far as the activity factor goes, it would require more calories to move a bigger mass, but again it would not be a proportional amount.
