Northeast ks | In Kansas, a buyer can back out over anything. If the buyer puts down a deposit (earnest money), and then decides to back out, the seller has to give back the money. What I would do if I were you is get in the house and take pictures. Then get an appraisal done (should have been done before agreeing to a price). Then I would tell the buyer to get something in writing from a bank that proves he can get a loan to buy the house. If not, the renter will jerk you along as long as you let him. | |
