From what I think I have learned watching different customers is we need to make cuts we can trim up the phosphate some, but K seems to be hard to keep anyway let alone not spreading.

I am of the opinion that we can somewhat "get by" in a pinch year like your talking with infurrow P on corn but need to spread K.

When I started doing removals I used university K numbers to determine how much to put on (1.25lb k20 per bu of beans), but after watching soil samples and talking with others I have learned I was not applying enough.

However I can't qaunitfy if there is, or how much there is of a yield loss in soybeans when we don't keep up on our phosphate overtime.

Me personally, I'm spreading removal rates using the following numbers:

Corn:
P: .4lb p205 per Bu
K: .3 + 20lb k20 per Bu

Beans:
P: .8lb p205 per Bu
K: 1.8lb k20 per Bu
