| Autotoxicity is serious and we will not establish a new alfalfa seeding unless it has been out of hay for 2 years. Old alfalfa fields that are still in good shape when killed will make it almost impossible to get a good catch. It will sprout, look great and then disappear.
Yes we have done it but it is not worth the risk especially when using low lignin $$$ alfalfa. | |
