A soil test would give a better answer, I didn't apply any fertilizer for 3-4 years on some farms as money went towards tile, on year 4 I applied some strips without p and k again, showed no yield difference still. But this is heavy ground with good fertility history
The theory that it has to be applied every year was made up by the coop.
Considering not applying P and K this fall.
