Very southern Mn
I agree, if no break downs over next 10 years, how many hrs a year are you putting on? Alot of these new combines will see over a million bushels in a just corn country in one year plus some soybeans. Nothing lasts forever. I know a guy that is putting over 6000 acres per season per class 8 combine in one season. I am not trying to sound smart in any way but I don’t think some realize the push that some of these machines go thru each year. with some of those numbers, trading every year can work very well prior to this years crash. We were a dealer for twenty years, sometimes the highest cost per hour was the 1000-1300 hr ones. There was no magic number in combine trades but sometimes the new combine actually worked out cheapest for some customers. It really depended on the farm economy at the time.
Edit Right now low hour Auction combines are the buy. Probably could run those cheaper than anything for awhile.
