Southeast Colorado | Yah, we had cattle scattered over a 10 mile radius, no power for water (since all of the power lines were laying in the road) tires and hoses burned off most of the equipment, and all the hay along with our trailers were burned to the ground.
The corn was all for sale. Luckily the crop it came from was far above average, so it was the right year to stand the loss of bushels.
But adding the scramble to the bank to gett the CCC loan paid off early was certainly a bonus memorable moment. LOL!! | |
