You can dig in your heels and scream poison pill if you want but you have to remember there are others for whom your pet solutions are poison pills. It takes compromise to get what needs doing done. And sometimes as McConnell said at the time, the concessions from the opposition that were in that bill are unlikely to be made again in a “naked” bill no matter who wins the election. You have to give up some to get some…….if you want to make things better.
And the fact is that there’s nothing been done on immigration since January except a bunch of political hot air expended. So there’s aid to Ukraine and Israel flowing but your hot button issue you claim to care about so much is still floundering in the muck. | |
