I can imagine it was really a headache to pay off that loan in the middle of everything else you had to do.

Was that grain for sale or for use on the farm? Guess both of those situations would have been complicated by moving it to an elevator.

I’ve never stored grain in a bag. Silage and earlage yes, but even then the majority of our feed was always in concrete upright silos. At least they’re pretty nearly storm proof while they’re full. Tornado will take off the roof and even the ladders and chute off the outside but never seen one that the structure was bothered as long as it was full.

I saw the first reporting this morning about how seldom insurance covers flooding damage.
