East of Broken Bow | Tornado went through near here not too long ago. Friend of mind lost his house. Said the best thing he got was cash. There house was gone, so was his wallet with his credit cards, gas card, etc. Couldn't even buy a cheeseburger in town until he had cash. Didn't need a lot because while the tornado leveled several houses, it didn't go into town so he could buy what he needed. However, in a situation like this, someone with cash and a running vehicle could run to where a store would be open and get cases of water, food, etc, provided the roads were passable. | |
