Kochia - 10/2/2024 17:36 In 2000 or so, Caterpillar was selling rebranded Claas combines. Caterpillar then sold their ag division to Agco, minus the Claas deal. Under agco, they were called Challenger Agco started rebranding Massey combines as Challenger. Agco at the time didn't do anything about Caterpillar dealers selling Claas. 2018 or so, agco discontinued the single rotor Axial rotaries. Claas isn't limited to former Caterpillar dealers. Who is selling what, is up to the dealers and Claas. It could be claas didn't want to pull the combines from the dealers who were already selling them, but the dealers selling them didn't want or agco wouldn't allow it, to take on the rest of the line.
