I think there must have been a time limit in the contracts. It just so happened that challenger tractors and claas combines dropped the yellow and grey paint scheme at strikingly similar times, very close to 20 years after Cat exited the ag market.
I wonder what kind of cool toys we would have today if CAT would have stayed.
