endrow - 9/30/2024 07:11 I'm on a churchboard. At a lutheran church. There's the question of confirmation class for the youth. And the pastor currently feels a two year course once a week for the duration of the school year. Younger parents say that is too much and these classes could be condensed there should be fewer sessions. is there anyone that could share what they are seeing with this at their church

Well, of course he does. What else has he got to do but somehow convince people they need more of his services. Kinda puts me in mind of the exterminator with a side hustle selling ant farms...

I am a preacher (not a "reverend." That title belongs to God, Psalm 111:9 KJV). I tell people all the time that they have the same information I have. It's called a Bible. If people would study it and THINK, they don't need me. It's not that complicated but people seem to have an addiction to making simple things complicated.
