Irans supreme leader stated “Death to America is not a slogan, it’s a policy”. They want us eliminated just as bad as the Jews. The door is wide open RiGHT NOW to stop that type of rhetoric in its tracks. It’s inevitable at some point in the future anyway, might as well deal with it when nukes aren’t an option. A strong show of American might here will also send a signal to other bad actors that wish us harm to stay on their own side of the fence. Peace through strength. Weakness gets you invaded.
