Well what you don't see is exactly why I am asking :) :)
I am hoping that a rolling basket ingesting, well maybe that's not the right word.. But rolling right behind where the ridge comes together, the center, will firm it up enough with planter packing the fresh soil to leave it firm enough and moist enough for a great germination in beans. The corn I normally plant deep.. 4" so I am not concerned as much about a firm bed.. But I am asking, not telling:) :) :) I have thought about a rotovator with bedder and planter units. My greatest drawback was the power needed.. 20' rotovator with 8 planter units, even if it's not hard hard soil takes some serious tractor and I only have 180hp.
