Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | That is very interesting. Our former United Methodist Church disaffiliated and went independent as a nondenominational church. In our small town there wasn’t enough people of any one denomination to support a church. Others are struggling. And as you have witnessed, some who have been away from church are slowly coming back but overall, the church is not the center of people’s lives anymore. Too many other things pulling them away doesn’t help. |
