Belize | Oops forgot to put my location. Sorry. Did it now. That's exactly what I am thinking.. Here the soil is acidic so I have to put down lime every year. I am wanting to deep band lime instead of spreading on top and deep band npk. This will happen before I plant corn. If I make 2 passes with the applicator in the center where my rows are going to be moved to in the spring, I don't have to go deep because the entire ridge will be moved on top of the lme and fertilizer.. For planting beans a week after I harvest corn I only want to put down in furrow. I will side dress while cultivating.. The amount of moisture we get here is the main reason for the ridges. I am thinking if I do this and move the rows twice a year. In spring while planting corn and after for beans, I don't have to plow, disc twice and then plant and I will have great water dispersal.. My concern is moving the ridge a week after harvesting corn. The header does a great job of chopping the stalks. Hope that makes sense,
