This will not be popular. The subject of cooking oils made from grains has been brought up several times in the past. I see this presentation has just been released. It may answer some of the questions brought up in the past, or at least answers them in the context of bias against vegetable oils. I personally don't know that the vegetable oils are so bad. But I am satisfied that animal fats have unjustly been vilified for about 50 years. So my personal standpoint that in our life my wife and I avoid vegetable oils is not so much that the oils are bad, but instead that the animal fats are more of a historically normal diet for humans. The vegetable oils in great quantity have only been around two or three generations with a considerable amount of daily energy now coming from them for most people.

Make of the presentation what you will. If it is true, I hope technology will find a healthy solution. We need it to feed the size of the current world population.
